Audit

Audit calculation assumptions

- Safety factor: `1.25` - Peak sun hours: `4.5` - PV performance factor: `0.8` - Battery depth of discharge: `0.9` - PV recovery reserve: `1.25` - Backup target hours: `8`

Use this when...

Use this when you need detailed reference information for Audit.

Defaults

  • Safety factor: 1.25
  • Peak sun hours: 4.5
  • PV performance factor: 0.8
  • Battery depth of discharge: 0.9
  • PV recovery reserve: 1.25
  • Backup target hours: 8

All assumptions are editable per audit.

Load item calculations

  • Total watts = quantity × watts per unit
  • Daily energy Wh = total watts × runtime hours
  • Day energy Wh = total watts × day runtime hours
  • Night energy Wh = total watts × night runtime hours
  • Estimated surge watts = total watts × surge factor

Audit totals

  • Total running load counts inverter-backed load items.
  • Estimated surge load sums inverter-backed item surge values.
  • Daily, day, and night energy demand sum all load items.
  • Critical and non-critical load watts split items by critical status.
  • Recommended inverter kW = larger of safety-adjusted running load or estimated surge load, divided by 1000.
  • Recommended battery kWh = critical load watts × backup target hours × safety factor ÷ battery depth of discharge ÷ 1000.
  • Recommended solar kWp = daily energy demand × PV recovery reserve ÷ peak sun hours ÷ PV performance factor ÷ 1000.

Generated findings

The system creates unresolved findings for:

  • audit not linked to a CRM record
  • missing wattage
  • missing runtime
  • zero quantity
  • high surge factor
  • battery recommendation below night load requirement
  • missing solar assumption inputs such as peak sun hours

Resolved system findings are retained historically. If the same issue still exists after a later calculation refresh, a new unresolved finding can be generated.
