Logistics/Fleet Readiness

Logistics and Fleet Readiness

Sprint 21 makes logistics/fleet operations visible and prepared without building the full Logistics/Fleet module.

Use this when...

Use this when you need a quick orientation to Logistics/Fleet Readiness.

Sprint 21 makes logistics/fleet operations visible and prepared without building the full Logistics/Fleet module.

Submicron logistics exists in two forms:

  • Internal logistics supporting solar, automation, store, support, and project delivery.
  • External logistics business as a future revenue and profit center.

The full module will come in a later sprint. Sprint 21 only adds placeholders, labels, task sources, approval categories, internal notification types, feature flags, Command Center cards, and manager rehearsal visibility.

Current Fit

Tasks

Logistics is available as a task source. Seeded sample tasks cover assigning a vehicle, driver availability, pickup and delivery address confirmation, delivery evidence, fuel expense, customer delivery confirmation, and delayed delivery review.

Approvals

The Approval Center includes placeholder categories:

  • Logistics Expense Approval
  • High-Risk Delivery Approval
  • Vehicle Maintenance Approval
  • Delivery Exception Approval

These record human review only. They do not dispatch vehicles, create expenses, confirm payments, send messages, or mutate delivery records.

Notifications

The Notification Center includes internal-only logistics notification types:

  • Delivery Assigned
  • Delivery Delayed
  • Vehicle Issue
  • Delivery Evidence Required
  • Logistics Expense Review

No external push, email, WhatsApp, SMS, or customer notification is sent.

Settings/Admin

Feature flags show logistics-related capabilities as disabled placeholders:

  • Logistics Module
  • Live GPS Tracking
  • Driver Mobile App
  • External Map API
  • Customer Delivery Tracking
  • Automated Delivery Messages

Workflow/Approval Rules also show planned logistics approval categories.

Command Center

Command Center includes a Logistics / Fleet Readiness section with placeholder metrics for active trips, delayed deliveries, vehicle issues, logistics tasks, fleet profit, delivery evidence, expense review, and logistics approvals.

The card must always be read with this boundary: “Logistics module planned. Current data is sourced from tasks/placeholders.”

Manager Rehearsal

Manager rehearsal includes steps to review the logistics/fleet placeholder card, a logistics task, delivery evidence notification, logistics approval placeholder, and logistics workflow feedback as a System QA issue.

Safety Boundaries

  • No full Logistics/Fleet module yet.
  • No LogisticsJob, Vehicle, Driver, Trip, GPS, route, or map models.
  • No live GPS tracking.
  • No driver app.
  • No automated delivery messages.
  • No customer delivery tracking portal.
  • No external map API.
  • No WhatsApp, Gmail, SMS, push, or external sending integration.
  • No production deployment or production secrets.
